What is XEOMIN?
XEOMIN® is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and neuromuscular blocking agent. The agent used is Botulinum Toxin Type A which blocks transmission of acetylcholine (ACh) from neurons to muscle. This prevents muscle contraction and causes muscle paresis (weakness) or paralysis. Reducing the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in adults can temporarily diminish the look of wrinkles.
The Team at OPFP precisely inject small doses of Xeomin® in specific muscle groups targeting wrinkles and fine lines, leaving the face smoother and with a more refreshed appearance.

Am I a Good Candidate for XEOMIN® Injections?
XEOMIN® injections are an elective procedure for temporary reduction of wrinkles and lines. The providers at OPFP will help you decide the best treatment for you.
You may NOT be a good candidate if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are under the age of 18
- Have a skin condition near the injection sites
- Have any neuromuscular conditions
- Are allergic to any of the ingredients in XEOMIN® or have experienced an allergic reaction to another product containing botulinum toxin
- Have received any other botulinum toxin product in the last four months
Be honest with the providers during the consultation about any medical conditions you have and any medications you are taking.

What to Expect During Treatment?
The Providers at OPFP will discuss your goals and expectations for XEOMIN® treatment at the consultation.
Our Board Certified Physicians and Physician Assistant’s want to you to feel confident about your treatment and have a positive and comfortable experience. They will discuss treatment areas with you prior to your procedure and post treatment care.
Arrive at the office with a clean face. Please do not wear makeup. You may apply makeup immediately after treatment.
Cosmetic injection results typically take 7-10 days after injection. Results may vary and can potentially last for up to 3-4 months.
